I used a snowman theme for my Christmas party this year.
I got all my ideas from Pinterest. There are so many cute things out there!
- Snowmen String Cheese
- Snowmen Donuts
The great thing about making the snowmen donuts is that it doubled as a craft. We made snowmen out of donuts, decorated them, and then ate them!
In order to play our game we “built” snowmen by decorating boxes with one a different part of a snowman on each side. The children were then divided into two teams. Each team rolled its snowman cube to see how quickly they could “build” a snowman. Whichever piece showed on the cube, the students drew on the whiteboard. And the first team to complete their drawing of a snowman won!
The kids absolutely loved this!
For party favors, I made snowman soup packets for my students to take home. They included a hot chocolate packet, marshmallows, chocolate candies, and a candy cane in a cute snowman bag with a little poem on it.
Then the last activity we had was a photo booth. My Christmas mom created all sorts of props for the kids to use in their photos. It was a great way to end the party!
What did you do for a Christmas/winter party this year in your classroom?
